ATTEND A FREE CLASS:

Home Depot: The first Saturday of each month between 9 a.m. and noon all Home Depot stores have a free kids workshops designed for children ages 5-12. Children accompanied by an adult construct projects from pre-fabricated kits such as toolboxes, birdhouses, fire trucks, etc. In addition to the newly constructed project kit, every child receives a kid-sized orange apron (similar to The Home Depot associates' aprons) and an achievement pin.

Gymboree Play and Music: Free trial class for babies and children up to 5 years old. It's fun, there's no pressure to sign up, and it's a great excuse for new moms to get out of the house and socialize with other new mothers.

My Gym: They also have wonderful classes for both babies and kids.  Again, it's a free trial class that is fun and you have nothing to loose by trying it.  Perhaps you'd like to save your free class for a rainy day-it is a great way to get the kids active in inclement weather.
